The Paths to the Folia – Between contrapunto alla mente, Court and Folk Music​
While the origins of the Folia dance are rich in theories about where it developed and why the name was used, there is at least for the majority of the pieces a relatively clear idea of how it was organized polyphonically and later also harmonically.
In this program, we make use of a rich palette of the early music repertoire to present a possible development of the Folia in a vivid form.
